Guideline to e-File IT return online:
1] Register with PAN ID on https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in website, after registering you will get activation link on the registered email address provided. Once the account is activated, then you can login to proceed with the remaining steps. Please mention correct email address & mobile number.
2] Login with PAN details as below, It will need your PAN id as User name, Password set while registering & Birthdate.
3] After successful login, click on View Form 26AS (Tax Credit). Here you will get all the details about the tax paid in this financial year, the amount matches with tax amount mentioned in Form 16.
Click on confirm, it will open it separate window.
C] Click on the hyperlink at the bottom of the page.
D] Select assessment year 2013 – 14 for this financial year (you will get correct assessment year on your Form 16 as well). View, if correct amount is displayed.
4] Now, come back on parent site, here click on Quick e-File ITR.
5] Here fill details as below. Click Submit.
6] Fill up Personal details on the tab, if you are not sure about the Income Tax Ward, leave it blank. And most important, on second paragraph of Personal details tab, fill the details as below. A21 should be selected Before Due Dt 139(1)if you are filling return before 31st July, if later 31st July, then choose After Due Dt 139(4).
7] Now on income details, fill amount as per Form 16. B1 value should be populated with the 8 point Gross total income (6+7) from Form 16. Select House = Self occupied. Fill details of deduction on respective header. LIC, PF, PPF, FDs, etcs will come under 80C.
8] Under TDS Tab, confirm your company name and the tax deducted amount. You can add more companies, if you have switched job in last financial year and fill up the details.
9] On Taxes Paid and Verification, confirm all parameters, which are auto populated. Fill Bank account number, Type as Saving, IFSC code of the bank (You will get it from their website). D19 Option ‘Yes’. Mention the place from where you are filling these details.
Now all details are submitted, once again verify them all and submit it. After submitting, you will get a receipt in PDF form, whose password is combination on PAN + date of birth (ddmmyyyy) [e.g. aghpy8497r10101982].
Open it, take the print out, sign it. Send it to the Bangalore IT office on the mentioned address by postal envelop of Rs.5 or speed post only. No courier.
Once it reaches Bangalore, you will get SMS and email of receipt. This receipt is password protected and you can open it with the same combination on PAN + date of birth (ddmmyyyy) [e.g. aghpy8497r10101982].
